Rauma Youth Council, established in 1998, is a non-political and non-religious organization and by local government act is a statutory body within the city organization.

Youth Council promotes youth well being and participation by making statements and taking initiatives within the city organization. Youth Council has representatives in the city council and committees and participates in an annual Child and Youth Hearing.

Besides societal involvement and influence, Youth Council is also about having fun and organizing different types of events together, such as OtaChill, an outdoor youth festival.

The Youth Council is selected by election for a term of two years, starting in January, and is coordinated by Rauma Youth Services.
